Companion indeed...

This little guy here is my other dog. His name is pnut a.k.a spoiled brat! He is a mix between a chihuahua and a daschund so he kinda looks funny but just because he is small doesn't mean that he is a pushover, oh no sir! Mr. tough guy right here thinks he's a great dane whenever he see's dogs twice his size, it's actually a pretty funny sight to see. I got the chance to doodle him when I got really sick over the summer, I was laying down on my couch and I was dying of boredom, t.v. wasn't doing it for me, so I grabbed my rendering notebook from class and tried to use the skills I learned in class with my dog. How did I do it? well pnut is a silly little dog and very loving whenever someone is sick he never leaves their side. He jumped up unto my legs and laid down and this is what he was doing just starting at me and smiling, after a while he got sleepy and just fell asleep so I couldn't finish, but this little guy made me get through the day. :)

Puppy Dog Eyes...

So today was a pretty cold day, I got out of school early came home and sat down at the table to eat. I practically had nothing else to do and I really felt like drawing today, I've been doing some doodles in my history and art history class which I know I shouldn't be doing I should be paying attention in class but I cant help it!!! And doodles don't count as drawing soooo next to me on the table was this blank piece of paper and my lead pencil. I looked around to see what I could draw and the next thing I  knew my dog started playing with my feet, which to her meant "hey human give me some of that food your eating!" She gave me this stare...it's a stare that I cannot say no to so I gave her a little piece of chicken, but then she didn't move she just stayed there with that STARE. So I decided to draw her since she wasn't moving and it seemed pretty silly to me that she thought that by her staring at me like that would mean more food flying down her way.  Just try to say no to that face and those big bug eyes.

IF... Resolutions

So this word of the week for illustration friday is resolutions! Everybody should be familiar with the word and meaning of it. We think about it the last five minutes before the countdown to the new year begins but throughout the year most of us forget about them or just give up. This idea came to me when  I woke up and I heard my friend Kris say to me once, "Alba just grab the bull by the horns" I know its cliche but its excatly what I will do this year grab the bull by the horns and I will not let go. This year my resolutions are to transfer to CSULB, get my AA , live a healthier life style, complete all of my educational goals and excel in everything I do I will make my teachers and parents proud. I will also keep on doing these IF's and I will get better :) So this year the bull might be scary,BIG, tough, intimidating and it might make me want to give up and let go, but no sir this year I wont! I will defeat it and conquer it, 2011 is going to be my year!

Classical; Mozart

So this is my other project for my illustration class and the genre for this piece was classical music by Mozart! Well to me when I hear Mozart's music its crazy, egotistical and very shifty. Im almost close to finishing it but not quite yet, there might be a few things I might have to fix or change but I feel like im making progress. 

 

Techno

This is another Illustration for my project and the music genre was techno, I really really really wanted to stay with this piece because I liked it and I think I can make it work. :)  This is the value study and next will be the finished product. So for the mean time she will have to do for now. (:

RAWR! Well at least thats what the T Rex would say if it could speak, this is another value study for my illustration projects and I can surely say I had more fun with this one. Although my scanner didnt really scan it well  you can still see the details on the dinosaur...im not done yet!!! but I feel a lot better about this one :D
